Editorial: In Her Bag
Welcome to In Her Bag - our new mini-series where we take a peek inside the everyday essentials of inspiring women! From work must-haves to little luxuries, we’re diving into what they carry and why.
To kick things off, who better to start with than our founder, Judi? As the powerhouse of Product Development at Ela & Earth, it’s safe to say Judi knows the importance of a functional, stylish, and organised bag. We sat down with her to chat about her go-to Ela & Earth bag and the essentials she never leaves home without.
Let’s take a look inside Judi’s bag!

What is your go-to work bag (and why do you love it?)
My everyday work bag changes between my Biscuit Lunch Bucket Bag and my Black Tote Bag. With the amount I pack in my bag these days, my Tote Bag seems to be accompanying me more often!
What is one item in your bag you can't live without?
It's unfair to only list one item ;) Ok, for the purpose of survival it’s definitely my 1 litre Chai Water Bottle BUT an essential that travels everywhere with me in my bag is my new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Camera. I use my camera daily to capture footage for my new Youtube vlog!
What are your everyday beauty essentials?
I use my Black Odyssey Pouch to hold all of my daily essentials. These include a good sunscreen, the Kit Kissing Balm, my Mecca nude lip liner and matte nude lipstick!

What does a typical day of lunches/snacks look like for you?
I am a big foodie and love a wholesome meal, so I always pack myself a nourishing chopped salad with a protein. Sometimes this might be falafel or grilled chicken or lamb. I love flavour too so generally I pack a yummy sauce for the protein portion of my lunch.
I made a salad this morning with what was left in the fridge - chopped kale, grilled asparagus and corn, chopped cherry tomatoes, red onion, roasted sweet potato, chopped raw snow peas topped with feta and two big falafel pieces that I bought from the markets. I made a whipped feta dressing to drizzle over the salad.
I'm not a huge snacker because I have such large meals, but if I was to pack myself a snack it would be veggies and hummus, with olives and perhaps some salami or prosciutto (very mediterranean inspired)!
Are you a minimalist or an over-packer?
If we’re talking about handbags, I only pack what I need (although sometimes that's a lot) - but if we’re talking about travel, I am definitely an overpacker!!
Stay tuned for the next edition of In Her Bag, where we’ll take a peek inside the go-to bags of more incredible women. Who knows? You might just find your next favourite work bag (or snack idea) along the way! 😉
