Buyer & Inventory Coordinator
Location of workplace: Tweed Heads warehouse / office
Role: Full time (Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm)
Reports to: Product & Brand Manager
About the role:
The Buyer & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining healthy stock levels and supporting business profitability.
This role owns the end-to-end inventory planning, purchasing and product setup processes, working closely with the Product & Brand Manager, Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service, Ecommerce and Marketing teams to ensure inventory aligns with sales forecasts, promotional activity, product launches and seasonal demand.
The role is highly analytical and operational, focused on forecasting, replenishment, supplier coordination, inventory optimisation, product data management, pricing recommendations and reporting.
A key responsibility is ensuring all products are accurately created, configured and maintained within the company's inventory management platform (CIN7 Omni), with seamless integration into Shopify. The role will also proactively identify opportunities for product bundling, pricing optimisation and improvements to inventory and product management processes.
Required skills and experience:
- 2+ years experience in buying, inventory planning, merchandise planning or supply chain coordination
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability
- Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships
- Experience working with inventory management systems, preferably CIN7 Omni
- Knowledge of SKU management, product categorisation, pricing structures and inventory control
- Commercial awareness, including product costing, retail pricing and profit margins
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and identifying commercial opportunities
What this role involves:
- Manage inventory forecasting, replenishment and stock planning across all product categories.
- Coordinate purchasing, purchase orders, suppliers and incoming stock timelines.
- Monitor sales trends, stock levels, sell-through rates and inventory performance.
- Oversee new product creation, SKU management and product data accuracy across CIN7 Omni and Shopify.
- Support product costing, pricing, margin analysis and commercial recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for product bundling, range optimisation and improved stock turnover.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Work closely with Product, Ecommerce, Marketing and Warehouse teams to support product launches and day-to-day operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, systems and efficiencies.
