Product & Brand Manager

Location of workplace: Tweed Heads warehouse / office

Role: Full time (Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm)

Reports to: Founder & Creative Director


About the role

The Product & Brand Manager is responsible for shaping the future of Ela & Earth through strategic product development, category expansion and brand stewardship.

This role sits at the intersection of customer insight, product innovation and commercial strategy. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing new products and collections, guiding the product roadmap and ensuring all products align with the long-term vision of the brand.

You will work closely with the Founder, Marketing Team, Operations Team and external suppliers to bring innovative products to market and drive sustainable growth.

 

What you will bring

  • 5+ years experience in Product Development, Product Management, Category Management or Brand Management
  • Experience within consumer products, retail or e-commerce
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability
  • Proven ability to manage multiple product development projects simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of customer behaviour and market trends
  • Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain a 12–24 month product roadmap
  • Identify new product opportunities and category expansion initiatives
  • Conduct market, competitor and trend analysis
  • Evaluate customer needs and emerging market opportunities
  • Present strategic recommendations for future product development
  • Ensure product decisions align with business objectives and profitability targets

Product Development

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept to launch
  • Develop detailed product briefs and specifications
  • Manage product sampling, testing and approvals
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers throughout development
  • Refine product features, materials, colours and finishes
  • Ensure products meet quality, functionality and brand standards
  • Manage packaging and product presentation requirements

Brand Leadership

  • Act as the guardian of the Ela & Earth brand
  • Ensure all products align with the brand's positioning and customer promise
  • Guide collection architecture, colour strategy and product storytelling
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to maintain brand consistency
  • Support the development of product launch strategies and messaging

Customer & Market Insights

  • Analyse customer feedback, reviews and survey data
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Identify customer pain points and opportunities for innovation
  • Translate customer insights into product improvements and future product opportunities

Commercial & Category Management

  • Monitor product performance and category profitability
  • Recommend pricing strategies and product positioning
  • Evaluate product lifecycle performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve gross margin and product mix
  • Support range optimisation and SKU rationalisation initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing to support product launches
  • Collaborate with Buying & Inventory Planning to ensure alignment between product strategy and inventory requirements
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing supply continuity
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners

Buyer & Inventory Coordinator

About the role:

The Buyer & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining healthy stock levels and supporting business profitability.

This role owns the end-to-end inventory planning and purchasing process, working closely with the Product & Brand Manager, Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure inventory aligns with sales forecasts, promotional activity, product launches, and seasonal demand.

The role is highly analytical and operational, focused on forecasting, replenishment, supplier coordination, inventory optimisation, and reporting.

Required skills and experience:

  • 2+ years experience in buying, inventory planning, merchandise planning or supply chain coordination
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability
  • Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

What this role involves

Inventory Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory forecasts across all product categories
  • Monitor stock levels, sales trends, sell-through rates and stock cover
  • Identify replenishment requirements and purchasing timelines
  • Ensure inventory availability aligns with promotional calendars, product launches and seasonal demand
  • Analyse historical sales data to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Manage stock ageing reports and identify risks relating to excess inventory or stock shortages
  • Recommend clearance, markdown or liquidation strategies for slow-moving inventory

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Raise purchase orders with approved suppliers
  • Manage order timelines from placement through to delivery
  • Track production schedules and shipment dates
  • Ensure purchasing decisions align with sales forecasts and cash flow requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery accuracy
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding:
  • Purchase orders
  • Production updates
  • Delays
  • Shipping schedules
  • Product specifications

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all systems
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Work closely with Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Support annual and cycle stocktakes
  • Monitor inventory movements including:
  • Incoming stock
  • Returns
  • Damaged stock
  • Write-offs
  • Transfers

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor key inventory KPIs
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory efficiency and reduce stock holding risk
  • Present inventory insights to leadership team
  • Produce weekly inventory reports including:
  • Stock on Hand
  • Incoming Inventory
  • Sales Velocity
  • Weeks/Months of Cover
  • Sell Through Rates
  • Stock Risk Analysis

Product Launch Support

  • Coordinate inventory requirements for new product launches
  • Ensure launch quantities align with forecast demand
  • Work closely with the Product & Brand Manager to manage launch timelines
  • Support range reviews and SKU rationalisation projects
  • Assist with product lifecycle management from launch through to clearance

Returns and Customer Care Assistant

Location of workplace: Tweed Heads warehouse / office

Role: Part Time (Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 2.00pm)


About the role 

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end returns process, ensuring all customer returns, exchanges, refunds and faulty product claims are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with company policies. You will work closely with customers and our warehouse team to coordinate the timely processing of returns, resolve issues, and deliver a seamless postpurchase experience.


In addition to managing returns, you will provide exceptional customer service by  supporting the customer care team in responding to enquiries across all customer  touchpoints, assisting with order-related queries, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding customer care.


The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and is passionate about delivering positive customer outcomes while maintaining efficient operational processes

Skills and experience 


• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously

• Previous experience in a similar role within the e-commerce space
• Preferred experience in Shopify and Cin7, specifically Sales Orders and the WMS

Key responsibilities

Returns 

  • Ensure product decisions align with business objectives and profitability targets
  • Manage the end-to-end returns, exchanges and refund process.
  • Assess returned products in line with company policies.
  • Process refunds, exchanges and store credits accurately.
  • Liaise with customers throughout the returns process to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure returned stock is received and processed efficiently.
  • Manage all faulty product claims, supplier warranty claims and related supplier processes.
  • Process and manage customer chargebacks in a timely manner.
  • Monitor returns trends and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce return rates.
  • Ensure all returns and faults are accurately recorded and resolved within agreed timeframes.

Customer Care 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service across email, website chat, social media and other communication channels.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries relating to orders, 
  • shipping, products, stock availability, pre-orders, promotions and general support.
  • Resolve customer enquiries, complaints and feedback in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues where required.
  • Maintain a consistent brand tone of voice across all customer communications.
  • Manage customer expectations during product launches, sales campaigns and preorder periods.
  • Create discount codes and assist with customer resolutions.
  • Regularly review and update customer service templates, FAQs, email templates, chat responses and automated communications.
  • Process customer orders accurately through Shopify and Cin7.
  • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and dispatch.
  • Monitor order exceptions and resolve fulfilment issues promptly.
  • Ensure customer records and order information remain accurate.
  • Support the customer service team in preparing and analysing customer service reports and insights for monthly business meetings
